5 New Hero Bikes/Scooters Launching Very Soon – Report

Hero MotoCorp is planning to update and expand its product portfolio in the country. According to a latest media report, the home-grown two-wheeler maker will roll out at least 5 models in the next 2-3 months. The range will include all-new models and updated versions of the existing bikes/scooters. While the company hasn’t yet revealed details, the plan is likely to include all-new 210cc Hero Karizma, updated Xtreme 160R, Passion Plus, Glamour and a new 125cc scooter. Here’re some key details of the upcoming Hero bike/scooter models.

New Hero Karizma XMR

The company recently trademarked Hero Karizma XMR and Karizma XMR 210 that hints at the revival of the iconic premium motorcycle brand. While the former is expected to be the semi-faired version, the latter might be the fully-faired, more powerful variant. The Karizma XMR 210 will underpin an all-new platform and come powered by a new 210cc, liquid-cooled engine (20bhp/30Nm). There might be a new 6-speed gearbox on offer. The bike is likely to derive some of its design bits from the Xtreme 200S, while retaining the original silhouette.

2022 Hero Xtreme 160R

The updated Hero Xtreme 160R is currently in its testing phase and expected to hit showrooms in coming months. The bike will receive the upside-down forks upfront instead of the existing telescopic unit. With this new feature, the model will surely witness a minor price hike. Design, features and engine of the new Xtreme 160R are expected to remain unchanged. The Hero bike will continue to use the 163cc, air-cooled engine making 15bhp and 14Nm.

Hero Passion Plus, Glamour & A Scooter

Reports suggest that the two-wheeler maker might re-introduce the Hero Passion Plus with a 100cc, single-cylinder engine. The Hero Glamour could also be the part of the plan. There will also be a new 125cc scooter.
