It seems like Hero MotoCorp is planning to bring back its iconic premium motorcycle brand – Karizma. The two-wheeler maker recently trademarked two names – Karizma XMR and Karizma XMR 210. In fact, a test mule of the former was recently caught on camera during its test rounds in the country. The new Hero Karizma XMR could be the less powerful, semi-faired version and the Karizma XMR 210 might be the fully-faired, more powerful model. Here’re expected features, specs and launch timeline of the new Hero Karizma 210.
– The latest spy images show that the bike will share some of its design elements with the Xtreme 200S. Though, it will look sportier and have fairing mounted ORVMs and LED turn indicators with hazard light function. A few styling bits will be similar to its older generation.
– The new Karizma 210 will be designed on an all-new platform and feature a new 210cc liquid-cooled, engine. The motor will deliver power close to 25bhp and 30Nm of torque, thus making it more powerful than the old model. The older Karizma was offered with a 223cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine pushing out power worth 20bhp. The bike’s new model could get a new 6-speed gearbox.
– Details of the new Hero Karizma 210 are scanty. Though, we expect it come with the LED lighting system, split seat, Bluetooth connectivity with navigation.
– While there is no official word on its launch timeline. The all-new Hero Karizma is expected to hit showrooms sometime this year (possibly after the Hero Xpulse 400).
– Prices of the bike’s new model are likely to start around 1.30 lakh and go up to Rs 1.60 lakh (ex-showroom).
Upcoming Hero Bikes
This year, the two-wheeler maker is also planning to launch the updated Hero Xtreme 160R with minor design changes and feature upgrades. The Hero Xpluse 400 is likely to come next year with an all-new 421cc engine.
