The 5-door Suzuki Jimny is ready to make its way to Australia. The carmaker has confirmed that it’s aiming for a November launch. However, deliveries will begin in early 2024. While Suzuki Australia has yet to reveal its features, specs, and prices, the lifestyle off-roader has received over 1000 bookings. For those unaware, the 3-door Suzuki Jimny is already on sale in Australia. The model comes with a 1.5L, 4-cylinder petrol engine, a 4-speed automatic gearbox, and a standard 4WD system. The motor produces a top power of 75kW (101bhp) and 130Nm of torque.
The Australian-spec 3-door Suzuki Jimny includes advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) features such as autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, and high beam assist. The SUV’s long wheelbase version may also be available with the ADAS tech. Other features on offer include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity and voice command, digital climate control, two 12V outlets, reversing camera, LED headlamps, and 15-inch alloy wheels.
Currently, the 3-door Suzuki Jimny is available at a starting price of $26,990 on-road for the entry-level Lite variant, and it goes up to $28,490 plus ORCs for the manual core GLX. The 5-door model is estimated to cost around $30,000.

Recently, the Japanese automaker unveiled a special edition of the 3-door Jimny in the Malaysian market. Known as the Suzuki Jimny Rhino Edition, this model features a few cosmetic enhancements compared to the regular version. It has a dark chrome panel encircling the mesh grille and circular headlamps.
The vintage radiator grille, red-colored mudguards, front bumper, and side aluminum cladding, along with a new protection panel, further enhance its sporty appeal. Inside, the limited edition boasts an all-black theme with new DLX floor mats. Only 30 units of the Suzuki Jimny Rhino Edition will be sold in Malaysia, with prices starting at $37,795 (174,900 Malaysian Ringgits).
