Hyundai Creta has been ruling the mid-size SUV segment despite entry of the new models including Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. The competition, however, will soon get fiercer with the arrival of three new SUVs that will go on sale this year. While Honda Cars India is all set to unveil a new SUV by mid 2023, Citroen will roll out the C3 Aircross during this year’s festive season. Reports suggest that the Kia Seltos facelift will also hit roads by mid 2023. Here’s a brief on the upcoming new Hyundai Creta rival SUVs.

Honda Mid-Size SUV
Honda’s new SUV will be based on the modified version of the Amaze’s platform and share some of its design elements and features with it. It’s expected to come with Honda Sensing system (ADAS – advanced driver assistance system) along with a new 10.2-inch digital driver display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 6 airbags, 360 degree surround view system, ABS with EBD, vehicle stability management, electronic brakeforce distribution, antilock braking system, electronic stability control, and many more goodies. For power, the new Honda SUV might use the 121bhp, 1.5L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5L Atkinson cycle hybrid powertrains. More details here…
Kia Seltos Facelift
Kia India is reported to launch the updated Seltos by mid 2023. The SUV will receive a new 1.5L turbo petrol engine that’s good enough for 158bhp and 260Nm. It will replace the existing 1.4L turbo unit. The existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L diesel engines will also be on offer. Major feature upgrade will be the ADAS suite along with a 360 degree camera and new switches for the HVAC controls. On the exterior, the new 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will feature a new grille and headlamps with LED DRLs, a new set of alloys and a panoramic sunroof. Citroen C3 Aircross
As per the media report, the Citroen C3 Aircross will be offered in two seating configurations – 5 and 7-seats. Its 5-seater version will be placed against the Hyundai Creta. Citroen’s new SUV, which will come under the brand’s C-Cubed project, will be based on the C3 hatchback. Under the hood, it will feature the 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine making 110bhp and 190Nm. The SUV will underpin Stellantis CMP platform and come with features such as a 10-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system.
