The 2024 Suzuki Swift concept will officially make its public debut at Japan Mobility Show 2023 in Japan on October 26; interiors inspired with the new Baleno.
Suzuki Motor Corporation has revealed its line-up to be showcased at Japan Mobility Show 2023, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from 26 October to 5 November 2023. The company will reveal the near production version of the eVX electric SUV, eWX (mini Wagon EV), e Every Concept (mini-commercial BEV van) and the Spacia Concept. The big news is that the 2024 Suzuki Swift concept will also make its global debut at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show.
2024 Suzuki Swift
Suzuki claims that the new concept model has been developed by keeping the concept of “Drive & Feel”. The company said that the Swift concept not only provides “design” and “drive”, but also proposes new value of “have fun with car and daily lives”.
The overall styling looks largely identical to the current gen Swift hatchback; however, it has some design changes to keep things fresh in the market. It comes with a slightly bigger honeycomb pattern on the grille and the sculpted bonnet neatly merged into its new bumper. 2024 Suzuki Swift new gen has a clamshell bonnet, which is very common sighting in SUVs. The hatchback gets a newly styled LED headlamps and new fog lamp housing. It appears more sharper and feature-loaded compared to the outgoing model.
The side profile has resemblance with the outgoing model. It has blacked-out pillars, blacked-out ORVMs with integrated blinkers and newly styled alloys. The rear door handles are placed at a conventional location instead of a C-pillar integrated door handles.
The interiors of the new Swift are heavily inspired from the new Baleno hatchback. It comes with a dual-tone black and grey shade. It features a new 9-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment screen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument console, a multi-functional steering wheel, climate control, HUD or Heads-Up Display, etc.
The concept will come equipped with advanced safety features including dual sensor brake support, adaptive high beam assist, driver monitoring system and collision mitigation braking system. These features are not likely to be offered on the India-spec Swift.
New Swift India
Maruti Suzuki will introduce the new gen Swift hatchback in the first half of 2024. If media reports are to be believed, the new Swift will be fitted with a strong hybrid powertrain. It is rumoured to get a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with a strong hybrid powertrain. The hatchback is reported to offer a mileage of up to 40kmpl.
