2024 New Mahindra XUV300 Interior Revealed; To Get ADAS?

Mahindra & Mahindra is gearing up to fortify its position in the sub-4 meter SUV segment with the launch of a heavily updated version of the XUV300 in 2024. The forthcoming model, which has been undergoing extensive testing, was recently spotted again, and this time it featured a noticeable bulge over the front windshield, concealed under camouflage. This bulge is likely an installation of radar and sensors for the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technology. In the sub-4 meter SUV category, the Hyundai Venue already offers ADAS, and the upcoming updated Sonet is expected to receive this advanced safety technology soon. While there were earlier speculations about the updated Tata Nexon incorporating ADAS, it did not materialize, and now there’s speculation that the next-generation Nexon might benefit from it.

The latest spy images reveal several noteworthy features of the 2024 new Mahindra XUV300. These include a large free-standing touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a revised and shorter gear selector for automatic transmissions, and modified central AC vents. While the overall dashboard design remains consistent, it showcases new finishes. The subcompact SUV is also expected to come loaded with modern amenities such as a digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, and ventilated front seats.

Regarding design and styling, the new XUV300 will draw inspiration from the Mahindra XUV700 and the Mahindra BE electric SUV concepts. It will feature C-shaped LED headlamps similar to the XUV700, a two-part front grille, and a larger central air intake for a fresh appearance. Apart from newly designed alloy wheels, the side profile is expected to retain its existing form. At the rear, the compact SUV will sport a redesigned tailgate, revised rear bumper with a repositioned license plate, and new taillamp clusters.

Under the hood, no significant changes are expected. The 2024 new Mahindra XUV300 will likely continue to offer the 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine with two power outputs (110bhp/131bhp) and the 1.5-liter diesel engine (117bhp). However, there might be a change in the transmission options, with the existing AMT gearbox possibly being replaced by a torque converter automatic unit.
