2024 New Kia Sonet Facelift – Price Expectations

The highly anticipated Kia Sonet facelift is ready to make its grand debut on December 14, 2023, with official pricing slated for announcement in January 2024. In a bid to generate excitement among prospective buyers, Kia has been gradually releasing teasers, providing glimpses into the updated design details and key features. The latest teaser images showcase the revamped LED headlamp clusters, reminiscent of the new Seltos, along with new LED DRLs and a revised front bumper housing horizontally mounted fog lamps. The front grille will also undergo an update.

Leaked information suggests that the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift will be available in seven variants – THE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+, and X-Line, spanning three trims – HT-Line, GT-Line, and X-Line. Exclusive features such as Level 1 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a 4-way powered driver’s seat, Sage green leatherette seats, an all-black interior with Sage green inserts, one-touch up/down function for all windows, piano black outside mirrors with LED turn signals, and sporty aerodynamics front and skid plates will be reserved for the top-end X-Line variant.

The sporty GTX+ variant will boast a leatherette-wrapped D-cut steering wheel with the GT Line logo, alloy pedals, an all-black interior with sporty white insets, black leatherette seats, dark metallic door garnish, a glossy black roof rack, belt line chrome, and 16-inch crystal-cut alloy wheels.

The new Kia Sonet facelift will also feature a 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a 10.25-inch driver’s display, a Bose sound system, auto-dimming IRVM, air purifier, cruise control, adjustable rear headrests, rear disc brakes, traction, multiple driving modes, height-adjustable driver’s seat, auto AC, and other noteworthy additions.

The engine lineup for the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift will retain the same 83bhp, 1.2L petrol, 120bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol, and 116bhp, 1.5L diesel motors. Similarly, transmissions will also be carried over from the pre-facelift model.

In terms of pricing, the new Kia Sonet is expected to command a slightly higher price than the existing model lineup, which currently ranges from Rs 7.79 lakh to Rs 14.89 lakh. The entry-level variant is projected to be priced around Rs 8 lakh, while the top-end trim equipped with ADAS technology might command a price tag in the range of Rs 15 – Rs 15.50 lakh.
