Kia India is all set to introduce the much-awaited Sonet facelift in the country on December 14, 2023. In fact, select dealers have started accepting pre-orders for the 2024 Kia Sonet; however, Kia is yet to make an official announcement on the same. Ahead of its official launch, variant-wise features and engine options have been leaked on the Internet.
The 2024 Kia Sonet will be offered in 3 trim levels – HT-Line, GT Line and X-Line – and in total of 7 variants – HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+ and X-Line. The leaked brochure also confirms that the Sonet facelift will come with diesel manual powertrain.

For safety and security, the 2024 Kia Sonet gets six airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), ABS with EBD, TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system), speed sensing auto-door lock, impact sensing auto-door unlock, 3-point seatbelt for all seats, VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) and hill hold assist, etc. The ADAS level 1 is offered with 10 autonomous features including forward collision warning, forward collision avoidance assist, lane keep assist, lane following assist, lane departure warning, high beam assist, driver attention warning, and leading vehicle departure alert.
The new Sonet facelift is expected to be offered in eleven colour options – Sparkling Silver, Aurora Black Pearl, Glacier White Pearl, Gravity Grey, Imperial Blue, Intense Red, Clear White and Intense Red with Black, Glacier White with Black, Pewter Olive and Xclusive Matte Graphite.
2024 Kia Sonet Engine Options
The Sonet facelift will continue to be offered with the same set of engines – a (83PS/115Nm) 1.2L NA petrol, a (120PS/172Nm) 1.0L turbo petrol and a (116PS/250Nm) 1.5L turbo diesel. The 1.2L NA petrol engine will come with 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the turbo petrol engine will be offered with 6-speed iMT & 7-speed DCT. The turbo diesel engine will come with 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT & 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
