The upcoming launch of the Hyundai Creta facelift is undoubtedly among the most eagerly anticipated events among new car releases for the next year. The South Korean automaker has officially confirmed that the SUV’s updated model will make its debut on January 16, 2024. Comprehensive insights into the design modifications and feature enhancements have already surfaced, promising to strengthen its position in the competitive midsize SUV segment.
A standout feature of the new Creta is the incorporation of Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology, a key addition elevating its safety standards. The ADAS suite will encompass an array of 17 autonomous features, including lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, emergency braking, collision avoidance, high beam assist, and more.
Drawing parallels with the new Seltos, the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift will be equipped with a 360-degree camera. The safety package retains its robustness, featuring six airbags, electronic stability program, anti-lock braking system (ABS), brake-force distribution, and traction control. Recent sightings suggest that the new Hyundai Creta will draw design inspiration from the latest Hyundai models such as the Exter, new Palisade, and Santa Fe. Notably, the H-shaped LED DRLs will mirror the Exter, while the redesigned front grille will be borrowed from the global-spec Palisade. Further, adjustments to the front bumper and tailgate are in the pipeline, with some test mules flaunting larger 18-inch wheels akin to those seen on the Alcazar.
Undergoing a mid-life update, the new Hyundai Creta is set to be powered by a 160bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol engine shared with the Verna and Alcazar. Transmission options are likely to include a manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT automatic unit. The updated model lineup will also retain the existing 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5L diesel engines, both delivering a commendable 115bhp.
