2023 Tata Safari With ADAS Debut At Auto Expo – More Details

The homegrown automaker, Tata Motors has officially confirmed that its upcoming vehicle lineup will come with ADAS technology. In fact, the company has announced to showcase its advanced driver assistance technology and Hydrogen-powered vehicle at the 2023 Auto Expo in January.

The ADAS tech is most likely to be offered on the brand’s SUV line-up including the Safari and the Harrier. In fact, the brand’s upcoming electric SUV Coupe based on the Curvv is also likely to receive this driver assistant feature. The Tata Safari is the brand’s flagship model, which will soon receive a mid-life facelift in the near future. Adding to it, the Harrier SUV will also receive a makeover in the near future. Both SUVs are expected to be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo.

Tata Safari XTA+ Variant Launched

The 2023 Tata Safari and the Harrier facelift have already been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. The recent sightings reveal that the Safari could be the first model to receive the advanced driver assistance system technology. In fact, the 2023 Tata Safari facelift has been spotted testing with ADAS radar on the lower front bumper.

The ADAS tech will offer features like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane assist, collision avoidance system and others. The SUV will offer up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, brake assist, hill hold assist, ESC and others. The 2023 Tata Safari facelift will also come with cosmetic design changes as well as an upgraded interior.

Inside the cabin, the new Safari facelift will come with more features such as a 360-degree surround view camera, a bigger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity, improved connected car tech and digital driver display. The SUV will continue to offer features like 6-way electric adjustable driver seat, auto dimming rear view mirror, panoramic sunroof, leatherette upholstery and a 9-speaker JBL audio system.

The 2023 Tata Safari facelift will be powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine that produces 168bhp of power and 350Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
