Tata’s ADAS Tech At Auto Expo 2023 – New Harrier

Tata Motors is all set to unveil its future range of vehicles and advanced technologies at the 2023 Auto Expo. The company has confirmed that it will showcase hydrogen-powered passenger vehicles at the biennial event.

Tata Motors has also confirmed that it is planning to introduce an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) in its SUV lineup at the auto event. In a post, Tata stated that it will go beyond passive safety measures and introduce advance driver-assist features. The advanced safety and security features will help in preventing accidents as well as provide aid in post-crash situations.

Tata Motors is preparing to give mid-life facelifts to Harrier and Safari SUVs, as both models have been spotted testing multiple times on the Indian roads. We expect these two SUVs will be the first vehicles in Tata’s portfolio to get ADAS technology. The ADAS features could include adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, lane assist, collision avoidance assist and others. The Safari’s direct rival, the Mahindra XUV700 also comes with ADAS tech. Adding to it, the MG Hector facelift will also receive ADAS features.

The Tata Harrier facelift will receive design changes as well as upgraded interior. Not just ADAS, the new Harrier will also come equipped with 360 degree camera, which should improve driving and parking in India easy. The 2023 Tata Harrier facelift will come with a heavily revised cabin with central console dominated by a bigger touchscreen infotainment system. It will support wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay along with voice command. The SUV will also come with connected car tech.

Tata Motors is also expected to showcase the Punch EV at the 2023 Auto Expo. The production version of the electric vehicle is expected to be launched sometime during festive season, 2023. It will be the first model to be based on the Sigma architecture, which is a heavily modified version of the ALFA platform. It is likely to be offered with multiple battery pack options similar to the Nexon EV and the Tiago EV.
