2023 Tata Nexon Facelift – What All It Will Share With Curvv?

Tata Motors, the leading home-grown auto manufacturer, has planned to update its three major SUVs – Nexon, Harrier and Safari. While the Nexon facelift will come in August 2023, the updated Harrier and Safari will come in near around this year’s festive season. All three models are under their testing phase, and caught on camera a million times revealing interesting design and interior upgrades. Talking about the new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift, the model will receive lots of Curvv-inspired cosmetic changes and features along with a new and more powerful petrol engine.

Curvv Inspiration Inside the Cabin

The subcompact SUV will offer a new, flat-bottom, two-spoke steering wheel with piano black finish and a rectangular hub section with control buttons in either side. Similar to the Curvv concept, the unit will have a backlit logo in the centre. In fact, its larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster will also be borrowed from the Curvv concept.

2023 Tata Nexon Features

The new Nexon’s HVAC console will have an integrated a touch-based panel and two toggle switches. A recently leaked patent image reveals that the top toggles will be for a 360 degree camera, Eco model, front and rear fog lamps, tail gate release, hazard lights, auto start/stop button and central locking. The lower row of toggles is for the Xpress cool function and climate control functions. The new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift could also be the brand’s first car to come with the paddle shifters.

Design Changes Inspired by Currv

The overall design and styling of the new Nexon will surely be sharper than the existing model. The subcompact SUV’s front grille will have a twin-part design with diamond-shaped inserts in the lower half. There will also be a full-width LED light bar running just above the grille, connecting headlamps.

The Tata Nexon facelift will have newly-designed headlamps and a more upright and flatter nose. Save for the new alloys, the side profile will be more or less similar to the current model. The higher trims might come with dynamic turn signals. The taillamps will also be revised, which will be connected via LED light bar. The rear bumper and tailgate will have different design.

What Will be Under the Hood?

The new 2023 Tata Nexon facelift is likely to receive a new 1.2L turbo petrol engine that’s good for 125bhp and 225Nm. The same gasoline unit will power the final Tata Curvv ICE version. The 1.5L diesel motor will be carried over from the existing model.
