2023 Tata Harrier, Safari Dark Editions Preview ADAS Tech

Tata Motors has unveiled the new Harrier and Safari Dark Editions at the ongoing Auto Expo 2023. Interestingly, the shown models look sportier than the existing Dark Editions. What add more value to these SUVs are the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).

The suite offers multiple active and passive safety features such as autonomous emergency braking, departure warning system, lane change alert, collision mitigation system, blind spot monitoring system, door open alert, driver monitoring system, high beam assist, front collision warning.

New Tata Safari Dark Edition

The 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari Dark Edition also comes with a 360 degree camera, a 7.0-inch digital driver’s display and a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The info unit has voice command function supporting 6 languages. It also gets sporty red leather upholstery and moon lighting function. The 2023 Tata Safari Dark Edition is now available with the seats with memory function and electric Bose mode. The co-passenger seat can also be electrically operated.

Talking about the exterior, the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari Dark Edition feature a sporty black logo at the front end. The black alloy wheels and red callipers add more to its new look.

New Tata Harrier Interior

No changes have been made under the hood. The new Harrier and Safari Dark Edition use the same 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine that pushes out a peak power of 168bhp (170PS) and 350Nm of torque. Both SUVs come with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Currently, the Tata Harrier SUV model is available within the price range of Rs 14.80 lakh – Rs 22.35 lakh. Prices of the Tata Safari start from Rs 15.45 lakh and go up to Rs 23.76 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.

2023 Tata Safari Dark Edition

At the Auto Expo 2023, the carmaker showcased the electric iteration of the Harrier SUV. The model underpins the brand’s Gen 2 platform that’s essentially the heavily modified version of the Omega architecture. The carmaker has confirmed that the production-ready version of the Tata Harrier EV will go on sale by 2025.
