Japanese automaker, Suzuki has officially revealed the 2023 Suzuki Ertiga at the 2022 Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). The updated model retains the original design; however, Suzuki has made some design as well as interior changes. It will be offered with a petrol engine with a mild hybrid system.
The 2023 Suzuki Ertiga comes with minor design changes in the form of new grille, revised front bumper and new alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, the popular MPV gets new Metallic Teak faux wood trim on the dashboard and seats.
Instead of a 7-inch touchscreen unit, the 2023 Suzuki Ertiga comes with a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It features Suzuki’s SmartPlay Pro tech that supports voice commands and connected car technology. The connected car features include stolen vehicle notification and tracking, tow away alert & tracking, geo-fencing, driver behaviour, over-speeding alert and remote functions.
The updated Ertiga comes with a 360-degree surround view camera, which is offered on the new XL6 on sale in India. The new model also comes with a powered tailgate, which is missing from Maruti Suzuki cars & UVs in India. The updated Ertiga is also expected to be launched in our market next year. Similar features could also be added in the India-spec model.
The 2023 Suzuki Ertiga is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine with Suzuki’s Smart Hybrid Tech. It comes with a lithium-ion battery and an integrated starter generator (ISG). The ISG works as the motor and generator that captures and stores electrical energy in the car’s battery, which handles the electric load during idling stop system at a full stop. The battery recharges through regenerative braking.
