The 2023 MG Hector facelift has already been revealed for the Indian market. Though, it’s prices will be announced on 11th January at the 2023 Auto Expo. Just so you know, the SUV was first introduced in 2019 as ‘India’s first internet car’ at Rs 12.18 lakh. At present, the model lineup comes within the price range of Rs 14.73 lakh – Rs 20.66 lakh (all, ex-showroom). It’s the first update for the Hector with slightly improved styling and a bunch of new features.
Most of the cosmetic changes have been made at the front end. The new Hector facelift carries a newly-designed grille in diamond-like pattern and chrome surround. The split headlamp setup with new gloss black inserts and a pentagonal housing, high-mounted LED DRLs and chrome finished central air intake further enhance its new look.

The SUV runs on the same 18-inch, dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear profile has been revised with the new set of taillamps connected via a red strip, ‘HECTOR’ badging and updated bumper with new angular creases.
The biggest feature update is the Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) offering features such as adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, automatic emergency braking, rear cross traffic alert, intelligent headlamp control, blind spot detection and speed warning. The segment’s largest 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen infotainment system with the Next-Gen i-Smart technology is the second major upgrade. The unit is said to be more responsive than before. It supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with voice navigation.
The feature list also includes a fully digital 7-inch configurable instrument console, a panoramic sunroof, Bluetooth enabled digital shareable key, voice assistance in 5 languages (English, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi and Tamil), voice operated ambient lighting, connected car tech with over 75 features and over 100 voice commands, auto turn indicators and more.
Engine options of the new 2023 MG Hector facelift remain unchanged. The SUV model lineup will come with the 1.5L turbo petrol, 1.5L turbo petrol with mild hybrid tech and 2.0l diesel engines. There will be a 6-speed manual (standard) and a CVT automatic gearbox (only on the petrol hybrid variants).
