Hyundai Motor India has revealed the new Grand i10 Nios hatchback ahead of its public debut at the 2023 Auto Expo. The carmaker has also begun accepting bookings for the new model at an initial sum of Rs 11,000. Buyers can also pre-book it online at Hyundai’s official website. The carmaker says that the new 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift “will offer safety, convenience and comfort to the customers by offering new features”. The hatchback has received significant design changes along with the upmarket interior.
At the front end, the new Grand i10 Nios features a black radiator grille, body-coloured front bumper, sweptback and projector headlamps with LED DRLs. Design bits such as R15 diamond cut alloy wheels, a sharkfin antenna and newly-designed LED taillamps further enhance its new look. The hatchback continues to measure 3815mm in length, 1680mm in width and 1520mm in height with a wheelbase of 2450mm.
Major changes have been made inside the cabin. The new 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios has been packed with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the smartphone connectivity, wireless phone charger, full automatic temperature control, smartkey with push button start/stop, Type-C fast USB charger, voice recognition, rear AC vents and cruise control. The new footwell lighting, modern grey upholstery with piping & NIOS embossing, leather wrapped steering and metal finish inside door handles add more to its feel and appeal. The hatchback’s safety quotient has been improved with several new safety fitments. The new 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift comes with first-in-segment standard 4 airbags, while the top-end variant gets 6 airbags. Features such as electronic stability control, vehicle stability management, hill start assist control and parking assist with rear parking sensors and rear camera with display on audio are also on offer. The Highline trim gets a 3.5-inch speedometer with multi-information display along with display for tyre pressure monitoring system.
Engine setup of the new Hyundai Grand i10 Nios facelift includes a 1.2L Kappa petrol (83PS/113.8Nm), 1.2L Kappa petrol with mild hybrid tech (and CNG unit (1.2L petrol + factory-fitted CNG kit). It can be had with three gearboxes – a 5-speed manual (standard) and AMT (1.2L petrol only). The hatchback model lineup can be had in 6 monotone colours – new Spark Green, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Polar White, Teal Blue and Fiery Red. There are two dual-tone shades as well – Spark Green with Black roof and Polar White with Black roof.
