2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Spotted Testing – Top Changes

The Korean automaker, Kia has started testing the new Seltos facelift on foreign soil. The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift has been spotted during cold weather testing in Scandinavia. The spotted model was heavily camouflaged with dark thick cloth; however, it still reveals some changes on offer.

The Kia Seltos facelift comes with a revised front grille that is not split into two different parts. The vehicle is likely to come with updated headlamp set-up and new front bumper. Not just front, the rear of the Kia Seltos facelift has also received some styling changes. It comes with a newly styled L-shaped tail-light. The reflectors are now placed on the redesigned rear bumper.

The details about the cabin are yet to be revealed; however, the spotted model had camouflage on the door panels as well as on the dashboard. It is expected that the new model will come with handful of interior updates. The vehicle is likely to get a newly designed steering wheel, new switchgear, and possibly an upgraded touchscreen infotainment system along with revised connected car tech.

In the global markets, the Seltos mid-sized SUV is offered with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 146bhp and 179Nm of torque. The new model is expected to receive a turbocharged 1.6L 4-cylinder engine that produces 175bhp and 264Nm of torque.

Previous reports suggest that the Kia Seltos facelift could receive a new hybrid powertrain, which will be sourced from the Niro. The powertrain comprises of a 1.6-litre engine and an electric motor that offers a combined output of 139bhp. In India, the Seltos is available with 3 engine options – a 114bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 114bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine. The India-spec model could also receive a mild hybrid version to meet the upcoming CAFÉ & updated BSVI emission norms.
