The Creta used for the ASEAN NCAP test is fitted with 2 airbags; however, the higher variants of the SUV are also fitted with 6 airbags. The SUV gets electronic stability control (ESC), anti-lock braking system (ABS), seatbelt reminder system, ISOFIX installation for child seats and pedestrian protection technology.

Adding to it, the new Creta also gets ADAS tech with features like autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, auto high beam & blind spot detection. Moreover, the SUV also has child presence detection & rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist for motorcycle as optional fitment.

Hyundai is offering RCCA, a technology fitment for motorcycle safety & child presence detection technology in the Creta SUV. The RCCA is an additional safety technology that Hyundai highlighted in the assessment in which it is able to detect the presence of an approaching vehicle, either from the left or right, while reversing at low speed. The technology will initially provide a warning to alert the driver but it will automatically assist with braking in the event the risk of collision increases.
