Suzuki Burgman Street EX Priced at Rs 1.12 Lakh – Key Features

Suzuki Motorcycle India has introduced a new variant of the Burgman Street 125 scooter in the country. Called the Suzuki Burgman Street EX, the new model has been priced at Rs 1,12,300 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It’s around Rs 19,000 more expensive than the existing variant that costs Rs 89,900. A few feature upgrades and hardware changes have been made to the new variant.

The new Burgman Street EX comes with the larger 12-inch rear wheel shod with wider 100/80 section tyre replacing the smaller 10-inch unit and 90/100 section tyre. It also gets a silent starter system and an engine auto start-stop function. The bigger wheel will enhance its stability and comfort quotient. The 25mm longer wheelbase further improves its riding experience. With aforementioned updates, the kerb weight of the new variant gone up by 1 kg.

The 2022 Suzuki Burgman Street EX receives three new colour schemes, namely, Metallic Royal Bronze, Metallic Matte Platinum Silver No.2 and Metallic Matte Black No.2. The standard variant comes in the regular Metallic Matte Bordeaux Red, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray and Metallic Matte Black colour options. The scooter’s new variant has been equipped with the Suzuki Ride Connect as standard that enables to pair the console with the rider’s smartphone and access turn-by-turn navigation and mobile communication alerts.

The new Suzuki Burgman Street EX derives power from the same 124cc, single-cylinder motor that’s said to be 0.1PS less powerful than the existing variant. The latter one pushes out a peak power of 8.7bhp at 6,750rpm and 10Nm of torque at 5,500rpm.

The scooter’s new EX variant will be sold alongside the existing model. It will take on the TVS NTorq 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, Aprilia SXR 125 and Honda Activa 125.
