2023 Hyundai Aura Revealed – Booking Amount, Top Changes

he Korean automaker Hyundai has officially revealed the new Aura facelift sedan ahead of its public debut at the 2023 Auto Expo. Launched in January 2020, the Aura sedan in its first major update has received few cosmetic design changes and new features along with more safety features.

Interested buyers can book the new sedan online or at authorised Hyundai dealerships by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000. Not just Aura facelift, Hyundai has also revealed the facelifted version of the Grand i10 Nios that is scheduled to be unveiled at the 16th edition of Indian Auto Expo.

The new model comes with revised front fascia, featuring a more upright nose and a two-part grille. The Hyundai logo is placed on the upper grille, while the lower section of the bumper is fully covered by the second part of the grille. The lower bumper accommodates inverted L-shaped LED daytime running lamps on eithe sides. However, it misses out on the fog lamps. There are no changes in the profile of the sedan, as it retains the alloy wheels, ORVMs with integrated blinkers and sloping roofline. The rear profile looks identical to the previous model, as it features the same tail-lamps connected by a chrome bar. It now has a boot lid spoiler, which was earlier offered as an accessory. Inside the cabin, the 2023 Hyundai Aura facelift looks identical to the outgoing model. It comes with new upholstery for the seats, new lighting for the footwell area and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It comes with new Type-C charging ports, and a new 3.5-inch digital display in the instrument console. In terms of features, the sedan retains an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, and a wireless charger.

The sedan comes with 4 airbags, ABS and EBD as standard. The higher-spec model gets six airbags, ESC, VSM, hill assist control and tyre pressure monitoring system. It comes with central locking and keyless entry, automatic headlamps, ISOFIX anchorages and day/night IRVM as options.

The new Hyundai Aura sedan is powered by the same 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine that is capable of producing 83bhp and 113.8Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. It also comes with a factory-fitted CNG kit with the 1.2L petrol engine. This powertrain produces 69bhp and 95.2Nm of torque, and is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Hyundai has removed the 100bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine from the Aura and the Grand i10 Nios line-up. MOreover, it won’t be offered with a diesel engine option.
