2022 Toyota Glanza Facelift – What We Know So Far!

The new 2022 Toyota Glanza facelift is ready to hit roads on 15th March 2022. Ahead of its market arrival, the updated model has started reaching at dealerships across the nation. Most of its design changes and feature upgrades will be similar to the new Baleno premium hatchback. Here’re key details that we know so far about the upcoming new Glanza.

Exterior Changes

Talking about the design, the hatchback’s updated model features a newly-designed grille with a single slat chrome strip, sleeker headlamps with new L-shaped DRLs, revised bumper, fog lamps with chrome surrounds and U-shaped black insert at the front end. The new Toyota Glanza 2022 runs on the newly-designed alloy wheels and its new split taillamps have different graphics. Similar to the new Maruti Baleno, the updated Glanza will have better built quality. Its dimensions, however, will remain unchanged.

Interior Updates

The Glanza’s new model will have dual-tone dashboard and upholstery. Features such as a larger 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, navigation and Amazon Alexa support, a 360 degree camera, Head-Up Display (HUD) unit, wireless phone charger and Arkamys Sound system are likely to be borrowed from the new Baleno. It might also be equipped with safety fitments such as electronic stability program, 6 airbags and Isofix child seat anchorage.

Under the Hood

The new 2022 Toyota Glanza facelift will use the same 1.2L Dualjet petrol engine boosted with idle engine start/stop system. The motor returns a claimed power of 89bhp and 113Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual and an AMT unit. With the same powertrain, the new Glanza is likely to offer a mileage of 22.35kmpl (MT) and 22.94kmpl (AMT). While its AMT version will be more frugal than the old CVT automatic variant, the manual variant is slightly less fuel efficient than the old one.
