The Japanese automaker is all set to give a generation to the Suzuki S-Cross crossover, which is slated to debut on November 25, 2021. The new model will be first launched in global markets and its India launch is likely to happen sometime next year. Prior to its official unveiling, the first clear image of the new 2022 Suzuki S-Cross has been surfaced on the web revealing interesting design details. In terms of design and styling, the crossover appears more mature and refreshing than the outgoing model.
The crossover follows a new design language with newly-designed tri-beam LED headlamps and revised front grille with black inserts. A chrome strip connects the grille to the headlamps.
The front bumper and fog lamp assembly have also been revised. The central air intake and faux skid plate are integrated on the front bumper.
The new Suzuki S-Cross has wider front track, pronounced hood, raked front windshield, a new set of alloy wheels and a slightly slopping roofline.
Reports suggest that the new 2022 Suzuki S-Cross might ditch the existing platform for a new one. The overall length of the crossover could be around 4.2m – 4.5m.
With the generation change, the S-Cross will receive some segment-first features along with the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Here, the new 2022 Suzuki S-Cross will be made available with the same 1.5L, K15 petrol engine boosted with Smart Hybrid technology. The motor makes a top power of 104bhp and 138Nm of torque.
Transmission choices will include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed automatic unit. The crossover model lineup might also come with a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
It will continue to feature integrated starter generator, torque assist function, regenerative braking and engine idle stop start system.
