Ola Electric has introduced the S1 electric scooter at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom). Interested buyers can book the model at a token amount of Rs 499 before 31st August 2022. Deliveries, however, will begin from 7th September. The 2022 Ola S1 shares plenty of design elements and features with the S1 Pro. Though, it has smaller battery pack than the range-topping variant. The new Ola electric scooter uses a 3kWh battery that’s claimed to deliver an ARAI-certified range of 141km on a full charge.
In Eco mode, the new 2022 Ola S1 offers a range of 128km. The company claims that the e-scooter promise a range of 101km and 90km in Normal and Sports modes respectively. The S1 Pro is exclusively offered with the Hyper mode. It comes with the 5.5kW battery pack and delivers a claimed range of 116km.
Similar to the S1 Pro, the new S1 has been made available with a portable home charger. It can juice-up the battery in 4.48 hours. The company is also setting up Ola Hypercharger network that’s claimed to be the world’s largest, densest and fastest 2W charging network. It plans to establish Hypercharging stations at 1 lakh locations across 400 cities. With this charger, one can charge the Ola electric scooter’s battery in 18 minutes for 75km of range. The new Ola electric scooter can be had in 5 colours, namely, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Liquid Silver, Jet Black and Coral Glam. Talking about features, the S1 offers all goodies available on the S1 Pro except for cruise control. That means, it has a large TFT display, a proximity unlock, silent/emit mode, all LED lighting. The company says that the 2022 Ola S1 will get OTA (over-the-air) updates (including Move OS3) during this Diwali.
The company also announced 5 year extended warranty for the Ola S1 and S1 Pro electric scooters. The latter receives a new Freedom Edition painted in Khakhi Green colour.
