Ola Electric has finally introduced its first electric scooter in India. Called Ola S1, the model comes with minimalistic design, lots of features and efficient powertrain. While the entry-level S1 variant has been made available at Rs 99,999, the top-end S1 Pro costs Rs 1,29,999 (all, ex-showroom). The scooter can be had with an easy EMI of Rs 2,999 per month. The S1 and S1 Pro scooter sales will start from 8th September and deliveries will begin from October, 2021.

The entry-level variant of the new Ola electric scooter has been equipped with 2.98kWh battery pack with an electric motor. It delivers a peak power of 8.5kW and 58Nm of torque. The S1 can do 0 to 45kmph in 3.6 seconds and offers a range of 121km on a single charge. It has an electronic speed limit of 90kmph. The base variant comes with two riding modes – Normal and Sport – and 5 body colour options – Coral Red Glossy, Jet Black Glossy, Marshmallow Yellow Glossy, Neo Blue Glossy and Porcelain White Glossy.

The higher-spec S1 Pro variant comes packed with a 3.97kWh battery pack and an electric motor offering a combined power of 8.5kW and 58Nm of torque. While the power and torque figures remain unchanged, the model promises a range of 181km on a full charge. It’s capable to achieve 0 to 40kmph in 3 seconds and attain a maximum speed of 115kmph. The S1 Pro has an additional Hyper riding mode along with the Normal and Sport. It’s available in all 10 colour options, namely, Coral Red Glossy, Jet Black Glossy, Marshmallow Yellow Glossy, Neo Blue Glossy, Porcelain White Glossy, Matte Black, Midnight Blue Matte, Millenial Pink Glossy, Liquid Silver Glossy and Anthracite Black Matte. The Ola S1 Pro offers three additional features over the entry-level S1 variant including cruise control, hill hold system and voice assistant.
