The new 2022 MG ZS EV facelift has been revealed ahead of its official launch in coming days. Bookings for the vehicle have already been commenced at dealership level. The facelifted model has received a few noticeable changes inside and out along with a bigger battery pack promising improved range.
While its official specifications are yet to be revealed, the new ZS EV is likely to come with a larger 51kWh battery pack instead of the 44.5kWh unit. The new model is expected to offer a range of around 480km. Just so you know, the existing version delivers a claimed range of 419km and power worth 143bhp against 353Nm.
The spy images confirm that the new 2022 MG ZS EV facelift will source some of its new features from the Astor. The electric SUV will have a new 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system replacing the existing 8.0-inch unit. A new faux carbon fibre trim around the touchscreen will be reserved for the higher trims. Its climate control buttons will be similar to the Astor. Rumour has it that the new ZS EV might be offered with the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) and a 360 degree camera. The existing analogue dials will be replaced with a new 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster.
As mentioned above, the new MG ZS EV comes with slightly improved styling. Upfront, the electric SUV features a new blanked-off grille area with a charging port, sleeker LED headlamps with new LED DRLs and a revised bumper. There are ‘Elecrtric’ badges on the front fenders. One can notice the newly-designed 17-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the model carries new LED taillamps and updated bumper.
Similar to the pre-facelift model, the updated one will come in Excite and Exclusive trims. Though, the prices will be slightly higher. At present, the MG ZS EV is available in the price range of Rs 21.49 lakh – Rs 25.18 lakh (ex-showroom).
