2022 Maruti Baleno Facelift Interior – What To Expect?

We informed you earlier that Maruti Suzuki is readying the updated Baleno, which is expected to be launched by February 2022. In fact, the 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift has already been caught testing couple of times on the Indian roads. A latest set of spy images reveal the design and interior changes of the updated model.

2022 Maruti Baleno Interior Updates: Expected

The spy images reveal that the 2022 Maruti Baleno will come with a significantly upgraded interior. The hatchback will come with a redesigned dashboard that accommodates a new free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and newly styled V-shaped AC vents positioned horizontally.

The 2022 Maruti Baleno will get a significantly larger touchscreen infotainment system; could be bigger than 8-inch. The current model is fitted with a 7-inch display. The infotainment system will have new software, and will be compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with other connectivity features. Not just touch unit, the steering wheel also looks different from the current model. The steering wheel seems sourced from Swift, while the AC control buttons look similar to the ones offered on the Ignis.

The spotted model comes fitted with the existing instrument console; however, autocarindia reports that the 2022 Baleno facelift will receive an all-new unit. We believe that the new model could get a part-digital instrument console.

Exterior Updates

The report claims that the Baleno facelift will receive major changes to the sheet metal. The vehicle is likely to get sheet metal tweaks to the fenders as well as to the bonnet. It will have a more upright look, which means significant changes will be made to the front design. The hatchback will get a larger grille with inserts, and all-new headlamp unit with dual-arrow shaped DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps). It will also get restyled tail-lights and new alloys.

The Maruti Baleno facelift is likely to retain the existing engine line-up. It is offered with two engine options – a 1.2-litre NA petrol and a 1.2-litre DualJet with SHVS mild-hybrid system. While the former is good for 83bhp and 110Nm, the latter offers 89bhp and 110Nm of torque.
