2021 KTM RC Range Coming Next Month – Key Details, Expected Prices

The Austrain bikemaker has released the first teaser video of the new-generation KTM RC range that will make global debut in September 2021. The video shows the new KTM RC125 and RC200 from different angles and reveals the full-colour TFT console of the new RC390.  Bajaj Auto’s Chakan based plant will serve as production hub for the 2021 KTM RC range from where it will also be exported overseas.

Compared to the existing models, the new ones are likely to be priced around Rs 7,000 – Rs 8,000 more premium. Bookings of the new 2021 KTM RC 390 and RC 200 have already been commenced at dealership level at token sum ranging between Rs 1,000 – Rs 10,000. One must note that the bookings are reported to be made against the current-generation RC range and it will be transferred to new bikes once launched. The booking amount is refundable.

The spy and leaked images reveal that the 2021 KTM RC range will carry a new design language with features such as fairing integrated turn indicators and wider LED headlamp. The sharper front fairing, taller handlebar and improved ergonomics with revised seat add more to its styling and comfort quotient.

The TFT display for the instrument console has been shifted slightly upside. The new RC range gets an adjustable suspension unit. Other key updates might include new body graphics, central LED headlamp, bigger fuel tank, vertical taillamps, new wheels and a full digital LCD instrument console. The disc brakes could be larger than before and rear frame might be revised.

Engines of the new 2021 KTM RC range are likely to be remained unchanged. The new RC 125, RC 200 and RC 390 will continue to feature the 124cc, 199.5cc and 373cc single-cylinder motors respectively. While the power and torque outputs are expected to be the same, the new models could be better in terms of performance and refinement.
