Maruti Suzuki is ready to roll out the new Baleno facelift in coming days. Official bookings for the new model have already opened across Nexa dealerships at a token sum of Rs 11,000. Ahead of its official arrival, the variant and colour details of the new 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift have been surfaced on the web. As per the leaked scans, the hatchback’s new model lineup will come in 6 variants (four manual and three automatic) spread across four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. For power, the new Baleno will use the same 1.2L petrol engine with and without 12V mild hybrid technology. While the former makes a top power of 90, the latter delivers 82bhp with 113Nm of torque. The motor will be benefited with the idle start/stop function. This time around, the hatchback will ditch the existing CVT automatic transmission for a new AMT unit. A 5-speed manual gearbox will continue to come as standard.
The new 2022 Maruti Baleno facelift is reported to be offered in 6 metallic colour schemes, namely, Pearl Arctic White (carried from the existing lineup), Splendid Silver (new), Celestial Blue (new), Luxe Beige (new), Opulent Red (new) and Grandeur Grey (new). One of the major feature updates will come in the form of a new Head-Up Display (HUD) showing important information. The hatch will come with a bigger touchscreen infotainment system along with revised V-shaped air-con vents.
Features such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a new instrument console and a flat-bottom, multifunction steering wheel will also be on-board. The new Maruti Baleno will witness noticeable design changes including a new mesh grille, newly-designed sweptback projector headlamps with LED DRLs, revised front bumper, wider air dam with blacked-out bezels, new fog lamps, sharply designed LED taillamp and new tailgate.
