2022 Kia Seltos Interior, Exterior Images Reveal New Details

Hyundai Creta’s arch rival – Kia Seltos is ready to receive its first mid-life updated in mid 2022. Ahead of its official arrival, the model has been spotted testing multiple times revealing its interesting design details. Recently, a test mule of its mid-spec variant was caught on camera covered in thick black sheet. The 2022 Kia Seltos facelift features a new grille with honeycomb design and brushed aluminium inserts.

While the projector headlamps with updated LED DRLs give it a refreshing look, the signature tiger nose design and five-spoke grey alloy wheels remain intact. The front and rear bumpers will also be updated. The former will get restyled air dam. At the rear, the new Seltos will receive a new pair of wraparound taillamps with LED elements (for higher variants only).

This time around, the South Korean automaker will pack the Seltos with several advanced goodies. If reports are to be believed, the new model will come with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity and a 360 degree camera. Features such as revised connected car technology, new upholster, new steering wheel and switchgear and an electric panoramic sunroof will also be on offer. Rumour has it that the new Kia Seltos 2022 could get ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) suite that incudes autonomous emergency braking system, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane assist and more.

Mechanically, the new 2022 Kia Seltos facelift is likely to remain unchanged. The SUV will use the same 115bhp, 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, 140bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol and 115bhp, 1.5L diesel engines. Transmissions will also be carried forward from the current model. Speculations are on rife that the new Seltos could be made available with mild hybrid system, thus making it comply with the upcoming CAFÉ and updated BS6 emission standards.
