Hyundai has started testing the next-gen Verna sedan in foreign soil. The all-new Hyundai Verna is expected to make global debut sometime this year, while India launch likely in 2023. Internally called Accent BN7 – the new sedan has been spotted testing in South Korea, which will be the first market it will be introduced in.
The all-new Hyundai Verna 2023 is expected to share the design cues from the Elantra sedan. In fact, the side view has strong resemblance with the bigger sibling. It gets sloping roofline, multi-spoke alloys and ORVMs with integrated blinkers.
The front fascia has the brand’s new design identity, which we have already seen on multiple Hyundai cars. It comes with all-new front design, featuring a split headlamp setup. The LED DRLs will be positioned above the grille, while the main headlamp is placed lower on the bumper. The very low headlamp unit and the grille design seems familiar with the new Elantra.
The rear design will also share similarities with the new Elantra. The tail-lights have also share similarities with the bigger design. It has a separated design with body coloured plastic between two lines. We have already seen such design in the new Hyundai Creta.
The all-new Hyundai Verna 2023 is likely to be marginally larger than the outgoing model. Not much has been revealed about the interior of the new Verna sedan. It is likely to share the cabin design and features with the new Creta & other Hyundai cars. It is expected to be equipped with bigger touchscreen & new instrument console along with a larger panoramic sunroof.
The 2023 Hyundai Verna engine options are yet to be revealed. The new mid-sized sedan is likely to feature the same 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engines. Both engines are likely to get mild-hybrid technology with automatic start/stop and brake-energy regeneration feature. The mild hybrid tech could improve the fuel efficiency.
