Korean automaker, Kia is working on the new Seltos facelift, which is scheduled to make global debut this year. The 2022 Kia Seltos has been spotted in South Korea. The latest spy images suggest that the new Seltos facelift will come with an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).
The spotted model is heavily camouflaged, not revealing many information. However, the radar module for the ADAS mounted at the front is clearly visible. The vehicle will offer features like blind spot monitoring, lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, etc.
The 2022 Kia Seltos facelift will come with styling updates. The SUV will come with new design language, which we have already seen on the new gen Kia Sportage. The SUV is likely to get restyled LED headlamps, revised bumpers, new tail-lights and new alloys. The reflectors are now placed on the redesigned rear bumper.
The current Seltos comes with a single-pane electric sunroof. With facelift, Kia will introduce the panoramic sunroof. The lower-spec variants will continue to be offered with single-pane electric sunroof. It is expected that the new model will have handful of changes inside the cabin. The SUV is likely to get a new steering wheel, new switchgear, & an updated touchscreen infotainment system with revised connected car tech.
It is reported that the 2022 Kia Seltos facelift could receive a new hybrid powertrain, which will be sourced from the Niro. It could receive a 1.6-litre engine with an electric motor that offers a combined power output of 139bhp. The India-spec model will continue to be offered with 3 engine options – a 114bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 114bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbocharged petrol engine. The India-spec model could also receive a mild hybrid version to meet the upcoming CAFÉ & updated BSVI emission norms.
