Hero MotoCorp, India’s biggest two-wheeler maker has announced its new and upcoming electric vehicle brand called VIDA. The company has also revealed the first picture of the Logo, which shows how the new branding will look like. VIDA will be officially introduced in our market with an all-new electric two-wheeler.
Gero MotoCorp has also announced a US$100 million Global Sustainability Fund. This fund will aim to establish global partnerships, spearheaded by the BML Munjal University & Hero MotoCorp, with the objective of nurturing more than 10,000 enterpreneurs on ESG solutions that have a positive impact on the planet.
Hero MotoCorp said that it will unveil Vida platform, products and services in the next 17 weeks. The company confirms that the first electric vehicle under the new Vida brand will be unveiled on July 1, 2022. The date will coincide with the birth anniversary of Dr. Brijmohan Lall, legendary Chairman Emeritus of Hero MotoCorp.
The production of the new Vida electric model will be done at Hero MotoCorp’s Green manufacturing facility in Chittoor, India. Dispatches to customers will begin later in 2022. Hero MotoCorp will launch an all-new electric scooter, which will rival the OLA S1, Simple One, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak and more. The new scooter will come with 12-inch front and 10-inch rear wheels. Leaked picture suggest that the electric scooter will have a single-sided swingarm flyscreen, length split seat, etc.
