2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift – Top Changes & Launch Details

Hyundai is preparing multiple new models and facelifts of existing models for the Indian market. The company will launch the new gen Tucson, Venue facelift, Creta facelift, updated Kona EV and the new Ioniq 5 EV in the country in the next 1-2 years. The Hyundai Venue facelift has already been spotted numerous times on the Indian roads, which suggests that launch could take place in near future.

N-Line Variant

Hyundai is also preparing the N-Line sportier version of the Venue compact SUV. In fact, the Hyundai Venue N-Line has already been spotted testing on the Indian roads. The vehicle will have differently designed alloys, a dual-tip exhaust and N-line badging on the front fender. Moreover, the SUV will sport red accents on the lower section of the front bumper. Design elements such as roof rails, front brake callipers and tweaked rear bumper will differentiate it from the regular model.

Tucson-Like Styling

The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift will come with all-new front fascia, featuring the brand’s new design language. It will come with Tucson-inspired front with newly designed parametric grille. The SUV will feature new rectangular shaped headlamp unit, which will be placed lower to the buper. The LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) are expected to look like the new Tucson. The LED DRLs will look like a part of grille. The SUV will receive updated bumpers, new alloy wheels and revised tail-lights. The overall profile and styling will remain identical to the existing model.

Interior Changes & More Features

The cabin is also likely to receive some changes; however, it will remain largely identical to the existing model. It is likely to receive feature upgrades and improved safety. The N-line variant is likely to get an all-black interior scheme with sporty red accents and N logos all-around the cabin. It is likely to come with a new touchscreen infotainment system with the latest smartphone connectivity, wireless charger, 6 speaker audio system, new BlueLink connected car tech and new interior theme and upholstery.

No Changes Under The Bonnet

The Hyundai Venue facelift is likely to retain the existing engine set-up comprising of a 83bhp, 1.2L NA petrol, a 118bhp, 1.0L turbo-petrol & a 113bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel. Transmission choices include a 5-speed MT with 1.2L petrol, a 6-speed MT as standard, an iMT and 7-speed DCT with 1.0L turbo-unit.

The Venue N-Line variant will be powered by a 118bhp, 1.0L turbo petrol engine with 7-speed DCT and a 6-speed iMT. Hyundai is likely to make some changes to the suspension setup to offer sportier experience.

Hyundai Venue Facelift Launch Timeline

The new Venue facelift is most likely to be launched by mid-2022. The N-Line variant is likely to arrive at a later stage, closer to festive season Diwali. The SUV will rival the likes of the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
