2022 Hyundai Creta To Get ADAS & More Standard Safety Features

According to a fresh media report, the South Korean automaker will introduce the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) across its premium model lineup by the end of 2022. The new-generation Hyundai Tucson is the brand’s first vehicle to receive the autonomous driving assistance feature in India. It will be soon followed by the upcoming 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift which are slated to arrive in coming months. The Hyundai Alcazar three-row SUV and Verna mid-size sedan will also be equipped with ADAS.

An ADAS suite offers Level 2 autonomous driving assists including blind spot warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist. Currently, the MG Astor and Mahindra XUV700 are only two SUVs in India offering ADAS. Besides these fitments, the new Hyundai Creta facelift and Hyundai’s other premium models will get six airbags, ESC (electronic stability control and Isofix as standard safety features. At present, the range-topping trims of both SUVs are exclusively offered with 6 airbags.

New 2022 Hyundai Creta Interior

With the addition of new safety features and ADAS tech, the 2022 Hyundai Creta and other models will get slightly expensive. As of now, the Creta SUV comes within the price range of Rs 10.23 lakh – Rs 17.94 lakh. Prices of the petrol variants start from Rs 10.23 lakh and go up to Rs 17.94 lakh, while the diesel version costs between Rs 10.70 lakh – Rs 17.85 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.

Talking about the 2022 Hyundai Creta, the SUV will witness significant cosmetic changes and feature upgrades. Rumour has it that the automaker might offer a 360 degree camera along with the updated BlueLink connected car tech and a new digital driver’s display. No changes will be made under the hood. The new Creta will use the same 113bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, 113bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel and 138bhp, 1.4L turbo petrol engines. Transmissions will also be carried forward from the current model.
