Hyundai has officially teased the updated Creta mid-sized SUV, which will first go on sale in Indonesia. The 2022 Hyundai Creta will also arrive in our market in the mid-2022. The new model comes with design changes and upgraded interior; however, the engine options are likely to be sourced from the existing model.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta will feature the brand’s new Sensuous Sportiness design philosophy, which we have already seen on the new Tucson SUV. The SUV will come with Tucson-inspired front fascia, featuring new parametric grille with DRLs fully integrated into the front grille. These DRLs will go unnoticed among the dark chrome features when the car is off. The SUV will come with more rectangular shaped headlamp units placed slightly lower than before. The SUV cis also likely to receive new bumpers, faux skid plate, fog lamp assembly, new alloys and split tail-lights.

The 2022 Hyundai Creta will also receive several high-end comfort and convenience features that are missing in the current model. The SUV is also likely to source some of its features from the Alcazar 7-seater SUV. The new Creta is also expected to receive a 360 degree camera, which should improve the driving and parking in India easy. Similar to the Seltos, the new Creta could also receive HUD (Head-Up Display).

The Creta’s direct rival MG Astor has become the only car in its league to offer ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). It is expected that the new 2022 Hyundai Creta will come with ADAS features such as blind spot monitoring, lane assist, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, front collision warning and others.

The India-spec model will share the engine options with the existing variant, which includes a 113bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 113bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel and a 138bhp, 1.4L turbo-petrol. The 2022 Hyundai Creta turbo petrol will come with a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. The turbo-diesel engine will come with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox options.
