We informed you earlier that Ford is working on the next-gen Everest (New Endeavour) and Ranger pick-up, which will be introduced in 2022. The 2022 Ford Endeavour has been spotted testing in Australia ahead of its official debut in early next year.

The 2022 Ford Endeavour front design and C-shaped headlamp clusters will be inspired by the Ford F-Series pick-up, which is on sale in the United States. The SUV will have bolder appearance, which should help Ford to position it better against the competition. The SUV gets newly designed tailgate and taillights. While the external sheet metal is new, the core body structure of the 2022 Ford Endeavour is expected to be carried over from the existing model.

The SUV gets more upright front profile, featuring C-shaped headlamps, wider air-intake, new bumper and fog lamp housing along with flattish bonnet and front appearance. The SUV gets raked windshield, prominent roof rail, blacked alloys and large greenhouse area. It gets high-mounted stop lamp and roof-integrated spoiler.

The 2022 Ford Endeavour is reportedly to feature the longer dash-to-front-axle ratio, similar to the 2022 Ranger pick-up. This could be done to accommodate the option of a turbo-diesel V6.

Previous reports claim that the next-gen Endeavour and Ranger will be offered with 3 engine options – two diesel and a new petrol plug-in hybrid. It will also receive a new off-road focused Wildtrack X variant. It will get a 2.0L twin-turbocharged diesel engine producing 210bhp of power and 500Nm of torque. There will be a new 3.0-litre turbocharged 6-cylinder diesel engine which will produce 250bhp and 600Nm of torque. This engine currently powers the American-spec Ford F-150.

The next-gen Endeavour or Everest is likely to feature the brand’s new SYNC4 infotainment system with a new larger 12.8-inch vertical infotainment system. It will also receive a new 10.25-inch digital instrument console. The infotainment system will be compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with remote connectivity. The vehicle will also receive connected car technology.
