2022 Audi Q5 Bookings Open; Launch Soon

Audi has recently started local production of the 2022 Audi Q5 SUV at its production facility in Aurangabad. The company has now started accepting pre-orders for the new Q5 in India at a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. It will be offered in two variants – Premium Plus and Technology.

Commenting on the opening of bookings of Q5, Mr. Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India said, “Today, we open bookings for our strong addition to Audi’s successful Q family in India – the Audi Q5. This will be our 9th product launch for 2021 and we couldn’t be more happy about our progress for the year. The new Audi Q5 is a perfect blend of features, comfort and practicality in its segment. With its new design that captivates at first glance, we are confident that it will continue to retain its leadership position in the segment and woo the existing and prospective customers.”

2022 Audi Q5 Local Production

Estimated to be priced around Rs 55 lakh, the 2022 Audi Q5 facelift will rival the BMW X3, Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Mercedes-Benz GLC. The new model has received cosmetic design changes in form of a more prominent and larger front grille with honeycomb pattern, new bumper, new LED headlamps, blacked-out treatment, bigger side intakes, new tail-lights with digital OLED tech and revised rear bumper.

The 2022 Audi Q5 rides on new 19-inch 5 double-spoke star style alloy wheels. It comes with new features such as Audi Park Assist, Comfort key with sensor controlled boot-lid operation, Audi Exclusive Inlays in Black Piano Lacquer, Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, B&O Premium 3D Sound System.

Audi Q5 facelift rear

The SUV gets an all-new larger 10.1-inch MMI infotainment system placed above the central console. The infotainment system is compatible with Amazon Alexa integration and connected car technology. It comes with 8 airbags including rear side airbags.

Powering the new SUV is a BS-VI compliant 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that churns out 249bhp and 370Nm of torque. It is paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and the power is transmitted to wheels via Audi’s Quattro AWD (all-wheel-drive) system. The Audi Q5 is also fitted with suspension with damping control on all four wheels.
