Japanese two-wheeler maker, Yamaha has launched the 2021 MT-15 naked streetfighter in Thailand. The 2021 Yamaha MT15 streetfighter comes with new colour options – Racing Blue, Metallic Black and Metallic Grey.
The 2021 Yamaha MT15 Racing-Blue paint option has blue colour on the fuel tank and wheels along with light grey on the tank shrouds, headlamp cowl and front fender. The Metallic Black colour option with the new MT-15 offers a full-blacked out look with silver graphics on the shrounds. The MT-15 Metallic Grey offers a combibation of grey with red wheels and blue graphics.
The 2021 Yamaha MT15 looks exactly same as the previous year model. It features the same 155cc, single-cylinder engine that also powers the India-spec MT-15. This engine is capable of producing 18.5bhp of power and 14.7Nm of torque. The powertrain is paired to a six-speed gearbox with slipper and assist clutch. Also see – 2021 Yamaha FZ Range Launched
The Thai-spec model comes equipped with upside down front forks with gold-finished fork bottles and aluminum swingarm. The India-spec MT-15 features conventional telescopic front forks and an box-type swingarm. For braking purpose, it gets a 282mm disc upfront along with a single channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). Based on the Deltabox platform, the Yamaha MT-15 features bug-eye shaped LED projector headlamp, MT-09-inspired taillamps, sculpted fuel tank with radiator guards and all-digital instrument console.
It is expected that Yamaha could also introduce new colour options for the India-spec MT-15 in near future. The naked streetfighter is positioned against the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and the KTM 125 Duke.
