Royal Enfield has revised the prices of its 650cc motorcycle range, which includes the Interceptor INT 650 and the Continental GT 650. The 2021 Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 is now available at a starting price of Rs 2,69,765 and Rs 2,91,008 for the Glitter & Dust Chrome variants.
On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is priced from Rs 2,85,680. Except for the price update, the RE 650cc twins remain the same and retains the same engine option. The motorcycles are powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power output of 47bhp and a peak torque of 52Nm. For suspension duties, the bike gets telescopic front fork and twin gas charged rear shock aborbers. The braking system comprises of 320mm front and 240mm rear disc brakes. Dual-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) is available as standard.
Royal Enfield is also expected to give a mid-life update to 650cc Interceptor and Continental GT this year. The updated models were caught testing near ECR in Chennai. The company is yet to make an official announcement on the updated bikes.
If reports are to be believed, the Royal Enfield Interceptor INT 650 and the Continental GT 650 will receive Bluetooth enabled Tripper navigation. The Tripper navigation is basically the turn-by-turn navigation system, which we have already seen on the new Meteor 350. The bikes will have a dedicated Tripper navigation full TFT dial, which can be connected to smartphone via Bluetooth and display road directions onto the TFT screen. The motorcycles will also receive alloy wheels and new colour options.
