Yamaha Motor India has launched the updated 2021 FZ Range – the FZ FI and the FZS FI in the country. The 2021 Yamaha FZ FI is priced at Rs 1,03,700, while the FZS FI is available at a price tag of Rs 1,07,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The new Yamaha FZ FI is offered in 2 new colors – Racing Blue and Metallic Black. The FZS FI is available in 5 colors – New Matte Red, Dark Matte Blue, Matte Black, Dark Knight and Vintage Edition. The weight of the bike has been reduced by 2kgs to 135kgs, which should improve the overall ride quality.
The 2021 Yamaha FZ Range is equipped with an updated “Side stand engine cut-off switch”. The Yamaha FZS FI comes equipped with Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X Bluetooth technology. It offers several features like “Answer back”, “E-lock”, “Locate my bike”, “Hazard”, etc. These features were earlier available on the Dark Knight edition and the Vintage model. The FZS FI also gets a new 3D emblem.
The 2021 Yamaha FZ series comes equipped with a single channel ABS system, LED headlight, 140mm wide rear radial tyre, two level single-piece seating, etc. The motorcycle also gets newly designed Muffler sound. The motorcycle is propelled by a BSVI compliant 149cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-Valve, single-cylinder engine that produces 12.2bhp of power and 13.6Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox.
For suspension duties, the motorcycle has telescopic front forks and 7-step adjustable monocross at the rear. It gets 282mm front disc and 220mm rear disc brakes along with single-channel ABS system. The motorcycle rides on 17-inch wheels shod with 100/80 and 140/60 section tyres at the front and rear respectively.
