Honda CB200X Price Rs 1.44 Lakh – Engine Specs, Features, Images

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) today rolled out its new crossover motorcycle based on the Hornet 2.0. Called the Honda CB200X, the entry-level adventure bike has been priced at Rs 1.44 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s more expensive than the Hero XPulse 200 and cheaper than the Royal Enfield Himalayan that cost Rs 1.20 lakh and Rs 2.05 lakh – Rs 2.13 lakh respectively. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.

The new Honda bike offers an upright riding position with comfort of wind protection on long rides and robust grip with block pattern tyres on rough terrain. Features such as long travel suspension, high ground clearance and high saddle height add more to its off-roading performance. The bike also serves day-to-day commuting purposes. The platform and engine of the new Honda CB200X have been borrowed from the Hornet 2.0.

Honda CB200 X Launch

The adventure bike derives its power from the 184.4cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine boosted with Honda’s programmed fuel injection (PGM-FI) with Honda Eco Technology (HET). The PGM-FI system includes 8 on-board sensors that constantly inject optimum fuel and air mixture to the motor. It ensures better fuel efficiency and engine performance. The engine, with a 5-speed gearbox, pushes out a maximum power of 17bhp at 8200rpm and 16Nm of torque at 6000rpm.

For performing suspension duties, the new Honda CB200X has USD fork upfront and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. The braking power comes from 276mm front petal disc and 220mm petal rear disc brakes, which are further assisted by single-channel ABS (anti-lock braking system). The new Honda adventure bike comes fitted with wire-spoked 21-inch front and 17-inch alloy wheels, which are shod with fat 110mm front and 140mm rear tyres.

Honda CB200 X Specs

The front fascia of the new Honda adventure bike looks similar to the CB500X. It features half fairing and small, black-tinted windscreen. The headlamp seems inspired by the Hornet. Some of key design elements such as wide handlebar, rugged knuckle guards, hand guards, LED lighting all around and a split seat. It gets an all-digital instrument cluster that supports RoadSync technology for smartphone connectivity, navigation and Bluetooth.
