2021 Toyota Innova Crysta Facelift Spotted On A Dispatch Truck

Toyota Innova Crysta, the popular MPV from the Japanese carmaker, is ready to receive a mid-life update in coming months. The updated model will be first launched in the Indonesian market, followed by India and other Southeast Asian markets. In fact, the carmaker has started dispatching the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta to dealerships in Indonesia. While its India launch timeline is yet to be revealed, the updated model is likely to come early next year.

The spy pictures reveal that most of the design changes will be made at the front end. The MPV will receive a new, wider grille and newly-designed projector headlamps. The fog lamps will be integrated with the front bumper and LED DRLs will be positioned below the headlamps. Save for a new set of alloy wheels, the side profile will remain unchanged. At the rear, the MPV might get updated taillamps.

Interior details of the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta are scanty. Though, it’s likely to come with a new, larger touchscreen infotainment system supporting both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The MPV might also come with new upholstery. Reports suggest that Toyota might equip the updated Innova Crysta with some fancy features such as a 360 degree camera, wireless charging and electrically adjustable front seats. Similar to the existing model, the 2021 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift will be offered with the 2.7L petrol and 2.4L diesel engines. While the former makes a top power of 166bhp with 245Nm, the latter one is good for 150bhp and 360N. Both motors can be had either with a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

Minor price hike is likely to be witnessed. At present, the MPV is available in the price range of Rs 15.66 lakh (for the GX petrol MT) – Rs 24.67 lakh (for the Touring Sport ZX diesel AT).
