2021 Toyota Fortuner, Legender – Over 5,000 Bookings In 30 Days

The 2021 Toyota Fortuner and the exclusive Legender have garnered over 5,000 bookings in just 30 days, since their launch on 6th January 2021. Deliveries of the SUV have already been commenced across the nation. The carmaker has revealed that the Fortuner continues to dominate the SUV segment with over 53% segment share and it’s likely to be increased further with the addition of the sportier Fortuner Legender variant.

Prices of the new Toyota Fortuner start from Rs 29.98 lakh and go up to Rs 37.58 lakh (all, ex-showroom). Significant design changes have been made to the new Fortuner. The SUV receives a newly-designed fascia with a larger mesh-pattern grille, revised LED headlamps with LED DRLs and new bumper. Other updates include newly-designed 18-inch alloy wheels and slimmer LED taillamps.

2021 Toyota Fortuner Legender features

The new Toyota Fortuner Legender looks sportier than the standard model with features such as a split grille, differently designed front bumper with sequential LED turn indicators, LED projector headlamps with new LED DRLs and alloy wheels with different design and chrome embellishments. Inside, the facelifted model gets a bigger, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, connected car technology, slightly updated instrument cluster, an 11-speaker JBL audio system, 8-way power adjustable and ventilated driver and co-driver’s seats, front parking sensors and two interior colour schemes – all-black and chamois.

2021 Toyota Fortuner Interior

Similar to the pre-facelift, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner comes with the 2.7L petrol and 2.8L diesel engines delivering power worth 166bhp with 245Nm and 204bhp with 420Nm. The diesel motor with automatic gearbox offers an impressive 500Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. While the petrol models are available with 2WD system only, the diesel variants can be had with a 4WD system.
