2021 Suzuki Hayabusa Unveiled – Key Features, Specs, Mileage, Colours

Suzuki Motor Corporation has finally taken the wraps off the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa super sport tourer. The new model will be first launched in Europe (by the end of February), followed by the Japanese and North American market. Read – Suzuki Burgman Electric Scooter Coming Soon

Its official India launch details are yet to be revealed. Though, it’s reported to hit our shores in the second half of 2021. It’s the third-generation Hayabusa sporting sharper design, more features and Euro-5 compliant engine.

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa changes

For power, the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa uses a 1,340cc, 4-cylinder inline, liquid-cooled engine benefited with ride-by-wire electronic throttle system and updated intake and exhaust mechanism. The Euro-5 compliant motor delivers a claimed power of 187.7bhp at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 150Nm at 7,000rpm. Its mileage figure stands at 14.9kmpl. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed constant mesh unit.

The bike has inverted telescopic, coil spring, oil damped upfront and link type, coil spring, oil damped rear suspension setup. The stopping power comes from Brembo Stylema, 4-piston, twin disc front and Nissin, 1-piston, single disc rear brakes, which are further assisted by ABS (anti-lock braking system).

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa features

It rides on 120/70ZR17M/C front and 190/50ZR17M/C rear tyres. The overall length, width and height of the new Hayabusa stand at 2180mm, 735mm and 1165mm respectively. The bike offers a seat height of 800mm and has a fuel tank capacity of 20-litres.

Significant changes have been made to its design. The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa carries a more aggressive front fascia with newly-designed LED headlamp and revised fuel tank. It also gets an updated tail section and chrome plated twin exhausts.

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa specs

The new Hayabusa offers a TFT screen for instrument panel. It comes with a new Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS) featuring SDMS-a that provides power mode selector, five riding modes, engine brae control, traction control, anti lift control system and bi directional quick shift system. The bike gets three new colour schemes – B5L (Glass Sparkle Black/Candy Burnt Gold), BS5M (Mat Sword Silver/Candy Daring Red), B5N (Pearl Brilliant White/Metallic Mat Stellar Blue).
