2021 Suzuki Hayabusa Deliveries Start; 2nd Batch Coming Soon

Deliveries of the third-generation Suzuki Hayabusa have been commenced across the nation. The first batch of the superbike was sold out within two days of its price announcement. Its second lot is likely to hit showrooms by July or August 2021. Priced at Rs 16.40 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model witnessed significant cosmetic and mechanical changes. Compared to the global model, the India-spec version looks slightly different and comes in three colour options.

The new Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 derives its power from a 1,340 cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, DOHC, inline four engine. The motor returns a claimed power of 187bhp at 9,700rpm and 150Nm of maximum torque at 7,000rpm. The new-generation version is 10bhp less powerful and 5Nm less torqueier than the previous model. In fact, it’s relatively lighter (2kgs) than the old model. The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa can attain a top speed of 299kmph.

2021 Suzuki Hayabusa changes

For performing suspension duties, the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa has new Busa uses Showa units with updated mechanism. Features such as Brembo’s Stylema calipers up front brake and Bridgestone Battlax S22 tyres add more to its overall performance. The superbike measures 2180mm in length, 735mm in width and 1165mm in height. Its wheelbase is similar to the old model – i.e. 1480mm.

The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa has been packed with a new six-axis IMU that includes 10 levels of traction control, 10 levels of anti-wheelie control, three power modes, launch control, three levels of engine brake control, hill hold control cruise control and cornering ABS. The new Suzuki Hayabusa 2021 has aggressive front styling featuring a LED headlamp and tall windscreen. The black cladding just below the headlight and black ORVMs add more to its sporty looks. Some of its other key features include new symmetrical twin silencer exhaust system, LED turn indicators, LED taillamps, a large dashboard and a new TFT display.
