Morris Garages introduced the 2021 MG Hector facelift with subtle cosmetic changes and feature upgrades last month. The SUV model lineup also witnessed a price hike of up to Rs 44,000. The entry-level Style manual variant has been priced at Rs 12.90 lakh and the fully-loaded Sharp Hybrid manual dual-tone model costs at Rs 17.20 lakh. Now, the carmaker has increased prices of the SUV’s select variants by up to Rs 10,000.
Prices of the entry-level Style (MT) and Super (MT/MT Hybrid) petrol and diesel variants remain unchanged. After the price hike, the 2021 MG Hector Smart MT, Sharp MT and Sharp MT – Dual tone diesel models cost Rs 17.02 lakh, Rs 18.43 lakh and Rs 18.63 lakh respectively. While the Smart MT Hybrid petrol is now available at Rs 15.75 lakh, the Smart DCT and Sharp DCT petrol cost Rs 16.52 lakh and Rs 18.10 lakh respectively.

While the Sharp MT Hybrid single-tone variant (petrol) has been priced at Rs 17.10 lakh, the dual-tone version is offered at Rs 17.30 lakh. As mentioned above, the 2021 MG Hector facelift received a few design changes including a newly-designed grille, larger 18-inch alloy wheels, new front and rear scuff plates and black appliqué running between the taillamps. The SUV also gets a new Starry Blue exterior paint scheme. The all-black interior has been replaced with lighter Champagne and Black dual-tone theme.
One of the biggest updates comes in the form of the Hinglish voice command assistant that can now recognize up to 31 Hinglish commands. The updated Hector also offers wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats and an auto-dimming inside rear view mirror. No changes have been made to its engine setup. The new Hector continues to come with the 143hp, 1.5L turbo-petrol engines (one with mild-hybrid technology) and a 170hp, 2.0L diesel motor.
