Earlier this year, MG Motor India introduced the Hector facelift and Hector Plus 7-seater with subtle cosmetic and feature upgrades. Now, the carmaker offers climate control via Apple watch along with the Android and IOS phone app. It enables users to adjust the vehicle’s temperature remotely to a preferred temperature. The 2021 MG Hector comes with the updated iSmart telematics with Hingish voice assistant that can recognize up to 31 commands. The system provides internet connectivity in the car and allows control it remotely.
The 2021 MG Hector recently received a price hike of up to Rs 43,000. Now, the SUV model lineup is available in the price range of Rs 13.18 lakh – Rs 18.43 lakh. The entry-level Style manual petrol variant has been priced at Rs 13.18 lakh and the top-end Sharp CVT petrol model costs Rs 18.43 lakh. The Hector Style diesel version comes with a price tag of Rs 14.59 lakh and the fully-loaded Sharp diesel model is offered at Rs 18.86 lakh. The model lineup has four petrol automatic variants priced between Rs 16.80 lakh- Rs 18.43 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
On the exterior, the updated Hector gets a new finish on the grille, larger 18-inch alloy wheels, new front and rear scuff plates and black appliqué running between the taillmaps. The SUV receives a new Starry Blue paint scheme. Inside, the model has lighter, dual-tone (Champagne and Black) theme along with the ventilated front seats, an auto diming inside rear view mirror and wireless phone charging. No changes have been made under the hood. The 2021 MG Hector continues to come with the three engine options – a 143hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, a 1.5L petrol with mild-hybrid tech and a 170hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine. All three motors can be had with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The non-hybrid turbo-petrol is exclusively available with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
