The SUV wears a new front grille and newly-designed 18-inch alloy wheels in dual-tone finish. Interior has been revised with a new dual-tome (Beige and Black) theme. In terms of features, the new MG Hector 2021 is likely to receive an updated infotainment system, new upholstery and auto dimming IRVM.

If reports are to be believed, the carmaker might expand the Hector model lineup with a new Savvy trim that will be exclusively offered ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) autonomous level 1 technology and 4X4 drivetrain system. If it happens, the Hector will become the first car in its category to provide these advanced features.

The 2021 MG Hector facelift is likely to witness a minor price hike. At present, the SUV model lineup is available in the price range of Rs 12.83 lakh (for the entry-level Style MT variant) – Rs 18.08 lakh (for the fully-loaded Sharp diesel DT model). All prices are ex-showroom.

As mentioned above, MG Hector 7-seater will also arrive this month. The model will have bench type seats for the middle row passengers instead of the captain seats. The overall design and features of the 7-seater version will be exactly similar to the 6-seat model.

The SUV will face a tough challenge from the upcoming new-generation Mahindra XUV500, Tata Gravitas and Hyundai Creta 7-seater. While the Gravitas and XUV500 will hit roads in early 20221, the bigger Creta will come towards the end of this year.

Official prices of the new MG Hector 2021 are likely to be revealed in coming weeks. Stay tuned to IndiaCarNews.
