2021 Maruti Celerio Interior Spied – New Info, Revised Dash, More Space

The first spy pictures of the new-generation Maruti Suzuki Celerio’s interior have surfaced on the web revealing some interesting details. One of the major changes will come in the form of 7.0-inch Smartplay Studio infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. While the dashboard, centre console and steering wheel have been revised, the instrument cluster is likely to be carried over from the current model.

Just beneath the infotainment display, there are air con controls along with a 12V power socket, storage space and two cupholders. The 2021 Maruti Celerio might also receive features such as steering mounted controls, automatic climate control and more. On the safety front, the hatchback will offer dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminder, reverse camera and rear parking sensors.

Some noticeable cosmetic changes will also be made to the new Celerio. It will get a smaller front grille and air dam, halogen headlamps, new-designed door handles, updated rear bumper and new taillamps. As far as engine is concerned, the new-generation Maruti Celerio will come with a 1.2L, 4-cylinder K12 petrol and a 1.0L, 3-cylinder K10 petrol options. While the former makes power worth 83bhp with 11Nm, the latter one is good enough for 68bhp and 90Nm. Both powertrains will be offered with 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. The 2021 Maruti Celerio might also come with a factory-fitted CNG kit.

Earlier, the hatchback’s new model was scheduled to launch 2020 festive season. Now, it has been postponed to early 2021.The reason behind the delay is said to be the supply constraint. The model is likely to witness minor price hike. It’s estimated to cost from Rs 4.50 lakh for the base variant to Rs 6.0 lakh for the top-end trim. At present, the Celerio model lineup is available within the price range of Rs 4.41 lakh – Rs 5.68 lakh (ex-showroom).
