We informed you earlier that KTM is working on the new RC390 and the RC200, which will arrive before the end of this year. Interestingly, the new KTM RC 390 was recently caught in production guise in India. A new media report claims that KTM dealers have unofficially started accepting bookings for the new RC 390 and the RC 200.
Most of the dealers are charging between Rs 1,000 and Rs 10,000 to book the new motorcycles. The booking will be made against the current-gen RC range, and it can be transferred to the new bikes once launched. The amount can be refunded if launch cancelled or customer didn’t the bike. It is reported that the new KTM RC 390 and the RC200 will be launched by July or August 2021.
The 2021 KTM RC 390 is expected to receive a new TFT display and a quickshifter as well. The RC 200 will be offered with the fully-digital LCD instrument console; however, the display will have upgraded graphics. The report claims that the RC200 could be priced around Rs 2.10 lakh to Rs 2.15 lakh. The RC 390 is likely to receive a significant price rise. The new bike could cost around Rs 2.80 lakh, while the current model is offered at Rs 2.65 lakh.
The 2021 KTM RC390 will come with a single, central LED headlamp unit, which is similar to the one offered on the 390 Duke. The motorcycle will receive new handlebar, bigger fuel tank, a larger disc brakes and completely revised rear frame. The bike will get bigger seat, new wheels and vertical-shaped tail-lights.
The motorcycle will receive the same 373cc single-cylinder engine that also powers the existing model. The motorcycle could get slightly revised silencer. This engine is capable of producing 43.5bhp of power and 36Nm of torque. The bike could get bi-direction quickshifter and the lean angle sensitive ABS and traction control.
